The LT1509CN#PBF is a Power Factor Correction/PWM/PFC/Current Mode Controller manufactured by Analog Devices. It is specifically designed to provide efficient synchronous power supply control for two-switch forward and flyback topologies. The device is pin-compatible to the LT1502 family of PFC controllers and offers enhanced feature sets, such as faster PFC switching frequency, improved PFC transient response, adjustable soft-start, and higher maximum input voltage handling. It uses a low-cost current-mode control technique to ensure accurate control of both the PFC output voltage and the PFC current. The device provides a feature set which simplifies implementation of power factor correction. The integrated PFC Boost switch is optimized for thermal and electrical performance. The LT1509CN#PBF allows for easy set-up using a user-programmable PFC Burst Mode™ feature which eliminates external reference programming components and reduces cost.
