About Monostable Multi-vibrator
Monostable Multi-vibrator
A monostable multi-vibrator, also known as a one-shot multi-vibrator, is an electronic circuit with one stable output state. When triggered with an input pulse, the circuit will switch to a different output state for a predetermined length of time and then switch back to its original state. The length of time the output is in the alternate state is determined by a capacitor and resistor in the circuit. This type of multi-vibrator is commonly used in digital circuits as a "one-shot" out of the reset state, as a timer, an oscillator, or to generate a pulse when an input is activated.
