About SCR Modules
SCR Modules
SCRs (silicon-controlled rectifiers) are semiconductor switching devices that are commonly used for controlling larger currents (typically 1,500 amps or higher). They are used in a variety of applications, from motor control systems to DC power supplies. SCR modules offer a number of advantages over traditional circuit breakers and can be used in applications where breakers cannot handle the current required. A SCR module is typically composed of several SCRs connected in series, with an output drive circuit which controls the SCR’s gate voltage. SCR modules make it easy to provide a powerful, reliable and cost-effective power control solution in a variety of applications.
