About Distance Sensors
Distance Sensors
Distance sensors measure the distance between two objects or surfaces by emitting or detecting electromagnetic radiation, such as infrared or ultrasonic waves. The sensor then computes the time it takes for the signal to travel to the object and back and converts this figure into a measurement of the distance. Distance sensors are common in a variety of devices, including robotics, drones, industrial automation, and motion-tracking systems. They can also be used for collision-avoidance and 3D imaging applications.
