Laird Connectivity Ferrite Clamp On Cores
Ferrite clamp-on cores are specially designed devices used to reduce EMI (electromagnetic interference) from cables, wires or other conductive materials. Their design usually consists of a ferrite core wrapped around the wire or cable and clamped down with an adjustable clamping band. The ferrite core works by effectively absorbing any EMI on the cable, shielding it from outside signals, and also produces a Faraday cage effect that helps block signals from entering the wire or cable. Clamp-on cores provide a cost-effective option for reducing EMI in applications where traditional shielding techniques would be difficult, expensive, or impossible.
