Isocom MOSFET Output Optocouplers
MOSFET Output Optocouplers are devices designed to provide a low-power, isolated electrical interface between two circuits or systems. These devices are most commonly used in power electronics, automation, and industrial sensing applications. The main components of a MOSFET Output Optocoupler are an LED, an optically-coupled MOSFET, and a reverse-biased diode. The LED inputs an electrical current in one circuit, which is magnified by the optically-coupled MOSFET and then supplied to the other circuit. The reverse-biased diode prevents electrical current from travelling outside of the optocoupler in the opposite direction. This allows for communication between two distinct electrical systems while isolating the outputs from one another.
