About Backlighting Components
Backlighting Components
Backlighting components are lights that are used to light up the components of a device or an electronic display. Backlighting is primarily used to improve the visibility of components in dark environments and to provide an aesthetically pleasing and uniform illumination for the electronic display or device. Backlighting components consist of parts such as light sources, light guides, optical assemblies and diffusers. The light sources are often LEDs, and the optical assembly includes lenses, reflectors and diffusers that are used to direct and evenly spread the light. Light guides are used to route the light from the light source to the precision optical components in the assembly. The combination of the parts and components forms a backlighting system that is designed to provide the desired amount of illumination.
