The RT8279GSP from Richtek is a step-down adjustable DC-DC converter with a wide input voltage range of 1.5V to 36V and an adjustable output voltage from 1.222V to 26V. It supports a high current of up to 5A and is packaged in a SOP-8_EP_150mil form-factor. The device is RoHS-compliant and is already pre-programmed with factory setup parameters. It also has integrated protection circuits with over-voltage protection, under voltage lockout, and short-circuit protection, to ensure device reliability. The device is highly efficient and has a low quiescent current of < 50uA.
