MP24830 4.5V 90V, Programmable Frequency White LED Driver The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP24830 is a 90V white LED driver Programmable Maximum Output Current suitable for either step-down or inverting Unique Step-Up/Down Operation (Buck- step-up/down applications. It supports a wide Boost Mode) input range with excellent load and line Wide 4.5V-to-90V Operating Input Range regulation. Its programmable current limit for Step-Down Applications (Buck Mode) provides customized applications with a wide Adjustable Switching Frequency power range. Current mode operation provides Analog and PWM Dimming a fast transient response and eases loop 0.2V Reference Voltage stabilization. Fault condition protection includes 10A Shutdown Mode thermal shutdown, cycle-by-cycle peak-current No Minimum LED Quantity Required limiting, open-string protection, and output Stable with Low ESR Output Ceramic short-circuit protection. Capacitors The MP24830 incorporates both DC and PWM Cycle-by-Cycle Over-Current Protection dimming onto a single control pin. The separate Thermal Shutdown Protection input reference ground pin allows for direct Open-String Protection enable and/or dimming control for a positive-to- Output Short-Circuit Protection negative power conversion.
