MP1740 3W HIGH EFFICIENCY MONO CLASS-D AUDIO AMPLIFIER DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MP1740 is a high efficiency Class-D H- 3W Into 4 with 5 V Supply 10% THD+N bridge audio amplifier. It utilizes a full bridge Efficiency up to 90% at 1.7W Pout, 8 ohm output structure capable of delivering 3W into load 4 speaker. The device exhibits the high fidelity 2.5V to 5.5V Supply Voltage Operation of a class AB amplifier with an efficiency of THD+N = 0.1% 1.8W, 5V, 4 91%. It also dramatically reduces solution size 2mA Quiescent current and 0.5A by integrating the following: shutdown current 300m (high side or low side) power MOSFETs Full Bridge Output Drive (VCC=3.6V) Internal 250kHZ Switching frequency Startup / Shutdown pop elimination Fully Differential input Short circuit protection Improved CMRR Eliminates Two Input 9 Balls Wafer chip scale package (WLCSP) and Coupling Capacitors requires a few external components. 1ms start-up time Eliminates pop Integrated Short Circuit Protection This amplifier also improves GSM power supply Integrated Thermal Shutdown rejection, and operates on a single cellular Li- 9 Balls Wafer chip scale package (WLCSP) ion battery.
