Iskra 2003 is a medium-sized turboshaft engine that is used as an auxiliary power unit for ground equipment and helicopter applications. It has a two-stage axial-flow compressor, a two-stage centrifugal compressor, and an annular combustor. The engine output is 30.046.834kW and fuel consumption is at a rate of 212gm/kWh at standard sea level atmospheric conditions. It has an electronic control system, which includes electronic fuel control, electronic speed governer, and overspeed protection. Additionally, the engine is equipped with a water injection system and gas producer turbine temperature control system. The engine is also capable of being operated in manual and automatic modes.
