CM1250-ACA is a MSOP-8 Battery Management IC (BMC) manufactured by iCM that is compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (ROHS) Directive. The IC is designed to effectively monitor and control the state of charge (SOC) and other charge characteristics of a single-cell Li-ion battery pack. The device features current and voltage sensing circuits for fast response to rapidly changing discharge and charge currents. The SOC data is continually updated, allowing for high-accuracy predictions of remaining charge and power availability, with an accuracy of 0.5%. The IC can handle high charge/discharge rates, up to 10A/5A respectively, and can support a wide range of battery capacities. The device is also protected against a variety of charge and discharge conditions, ensuring that any connection between the battery and the system is optimized to be safe and reliable.
