LT3002 36V 10W No-Opto Isolated Flyback Converter FEATURES DESCRIPTION n 4V to 36V Input Voltage Range The LT 3002 is a monolithic micropower isolated fly- n 3.6A, 65V Internal DMOS Power Switch back converter. By sampling the isolated output voltage n Low Quiescent Current directly from the primary-side flyback waveform, the part n Quasi-Resonant Boundary Mode Operation at requires no third winding or opto-isolator for regulation. Heavy Load The output voltage is programmed with two external n Low Ripple Burst Mode Operation at Light Load resistors and a third optional temperature compensation n Minimum Load < 0.5% (Typ) of Full Output resistor. Boundary mode operation provides a small mag- n No Transformer Third Winding or Opto-Isolator netic solution with excellent load regulation. Low ripple Required for Output Voltage Regulation Burst Mode operation maintains high efficiency at light n Accurate EN/UVLO Threshold and Hysteresis load while minimizing the output voltage ripple. A 3.6A, n Temperature Compensation for Output Diode 65V DMOS power switch is integrated along with all the n Output Short-Circuit Protection high voltage circuitry and control logic into a thermally n Thermally Enhanced 8-Lead SO Package enhanced 8-lead SO package. The LT3002 operates from an input voltage range of 4V to 36V and delivers up to 10W of isolated output power.
