LTM4630A Dual 18A or Single 36A DC/DC Module Regulator FEATURES DESCRIPTION n Dual 18A or Single 36A Output The LTM 4630A is a dual 18A or single 36A output switch- n ing mode step-down DC/DC Module (micromodule) Input Voltage Range: 4.5V to 18V (after date code regulator with wider V range and higher efficiency 1720*) OUT n than LTM4630. Included in the package are the switch- Output Voltage Range: 0.6V to 8V (after date code ing controllers, power FETs, inductors and all supporting 1720*) components. Operating from an input voltage range of n 1.5% Maximum Total DC Output Error Over Line, 4.5V to 18V, the LTM4630A supports two outputs each Load and Temperature with an output voltage range of 0.6V to 8V, each set by a n Higher Light Load Efficiency and Wider V Range OUT single external resistor. Its high efficiency design delivers Than LTM4630 up to 18A continuous current for each output. Only a few n Differential Remote Sense Amplifier input and output capacitors are needed. The LTM4630A n Current Mode Control/Fast Transient Response is pin compatible with the LTM4620 and LTM4620A (dual n Multiphase Parallel Current Sharing Up to 144A 13A, single 26A) and the LTM4630 (dual 18A, single 36A). n Internal Temperature Monitor The device supports frequency synchronization, multi- n Pin Compatible with the LTM4620A (Dual 13A, phase operation, Burst Mode operation and output voltage Single 26A) and LTM4630 (Dual 18A, Single 36A) tracking for supply rail sequencing and has an onboard n Adjustable Switching Frequency or Synchronization temperature diode for device temperature monitoring. High n Overcurrent Foldback Protection switching frequency and a current mode architecture enable n Selectable Burst Mode Operation, Pulse Skipping a very fast transient response to line and load changes Mode Operation without sacrificing stability. n Soft-Start/Voltage Tracking n Fault protection features include overvoltage and Output Overvoltage Protection n overcurrent protection. The LTM4630A is offered in 16mm 16mm 16mm 4.41mm LGA and 16mm 16mm 16mm 4.41mm LGA and 16mm 16mm 5.01mm 5.01mm BGA Packages BGA packages.
