Toshiba Image Sensors
Image sensor is a device that captures images by converting light energy into electrical signals. It is typically used in digital cameras and other imaging devices. Image sensors come in two basic types: Charge Coupled Device (CCD) and Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS). CCDs are the most commonly used type of image sensor in digital cameras, while CMOS sensors are more often found in cameras used in cell phones and other mobile devices. Both types of image sensors work in a similar way, by capturing light and converting it into an electronic signal. A digital camera processes the electrical signal from the image sensor and stores the image in a digital file.
