Laird Ferrite Cable Cores
Ferrite Cable Cores are made from a ferrite material that is a type of ceramic material that is used for a variety of electronic components, such as transformers and filters. The ferrite cable core is an essential element in the formation of a cable. It is a ferromagnetic material and primarily used to reduce the magnitude and/or phase of high frequency electromagnetic interference while preserving the desired signal within a cable assembly. Ferrite cores come in various shapes and sizes and each one is designed to do different things. Generally, they can increase inductance, attenuate noise, alter currents in a particular frequency range, and establish impedance. Cables equipped with a ferrite core can be very effective in shielding against radio frequency (RF) interference. Generally, the larger the core, the more effective it is in providing efficient noise cancellation.
